Would definitely go back
Hotel was clean, personnel were friendly and helpful at all times. The convenience store is great for forgotten items, snacks , etc. The attached restuarant has reasonable prices and great speacials every day. The trolley stops out front for easy access to "Old Town" and the tour of San Diego and Coronada Island. Prices were reasonable and they have free parking (which I thought all hotels provided) but not in San Diego. There is also a bus stop near.

3 Rooms in 1 day
The first room I checked into had several issues including no working swing arm lock on door, torn carpet, bath tub did not drain while showering and to top it off, extensive mold in the bathroom. I am extremely allergic to mold, so went down to the desk to request another room. They accomodated me and this room was better, but still had worn carpet and no working swing arm lock on door. However, there was no visible mold so I took my stuff out of the 1st room and told the desk I would like to switch rooms. They took care of it and handed me 2 keys to the new room. Because of this, I was running late on picking up my daughter and therefore decided to keep the luggage in my car. When I returned to the hotel in the evening I found that my keys no longer worked for the room. My luggage and I went to the front desk and was told that they had given that room to someone else and they werent sure if they had a room that would meet my needs. They first found a smoking room which with having asthma I couldnt take and finally they found a one bed non-smoking room. My daughter was staying with me so I would have preferred a 2 bed room, but at this point almost any room would have been ok. All of this would have been fine if some concern had been shown by the front desk employees. I will not stay at this hotel again!
