Staff is Wonderful
The biggest problem with this hotel is really Expedia’s fault. Hotel comes up in search of Palm Springs/surrounding area. Several "surrounding" cities have things to do. Desert Hot Springs is a VERY small town and there was absolutely nothing to do. Nearest anything is 30 minute drive. Hotel is outdated although some rooms have been renovated, I didn’t get the opportunity to see for my self. I do have to say that the staff has to be one of the friendliest I have ever had! But that is really the only good thing.

Good for the money
Staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The hotel seemed to have some small maintenance issues...for example the broken ice machine. Overall we had a good stay.

Would not stay here again
We had two rooms. The first room sink leaked all over the floor and the second room key didn’t work. In the next set of rooms, the key for one of the rooms barely worked and the dead bolt didn’t work at all. And this was the newly remodeled section! Would not stay here again.

Great Italian meal at Capri for dinner and good breakfast at the Sidewinder.
