Seems Dirty
For the money....you dont get a whole lot. The rooms seem stuffy as far as air flow. The air conditioner is very loud.....If you want peace and quiet....go somewhere else. That thing will keep you up all night. Might as well sleep outside.

Disaster - Dont Go !
My expectations were low with only 2 stars. It took 40 minutes to check-in, it was parents weekend at SFA State University. First, I got a room that was out of service, and I was not the only one at the front desk with this problem. The mattresses were leaning against the wall, and no other furniture. When I went back to the hotel desk, they gave me a different room but did not apologize. Second Room: Sheets had holes in them, room smelled, dirty towel on bathroom counter, tv and phone didnt work. They have paper tags on most of the doors for the room numbers. The coffee left in the room was decaf - no choice. No coffee downstairs, both pots were empty. Continental breakfast was a loaf of bread, oranges, two types of cereal and a warm gallon of milk sitting on the counter. There are doors all around the building that lead to the parking lot and the two I had to use to get to either of my rooms were not locked. Design is that of a motel, not a hotel. At check-out I got no response from the front desk clerk about my complaints, they obviously dont care. Drive to Lufkin and stay there if you have to, but dont stay here.
Traveler's tip on dining
The Waffle Express across the road has excellent food and is clean. Even when they were very busy, they were polite and had quick service.

Needs work
If you want a hot shower and bed, this is sufficient. Otherwise, dont expect quietness (there was s fight in the hallway at 4:18am), working amenities, or a continental breakfast. The alarm clock wasnt working, there wasnt any coffee in the room with the coffee maker, and the continental breakfast was a joke. It consisted of coffee, cereal, a loaf of bread, and a jar of peanut butter. I was expecting the usual danishes, bagels, fruit, etc. I was not pleased with my stay and would have rather left home at 5:00 am for my destination than spend the night there. One of the doors from the parking area "requires" a room key, yet the door was not functioning and was open to the public to roam the halls. The other door was rigged with a trashcan lid. All of the newpapers were sold out the night I arrived and the morning after.
