Perfect Times Square area luxury hotel!
Absolutely beautiful hotel in an excellent location near Times Square. The Mansfield is an old 13 story building that has been refurbished and extremely well decorated. Rooms, hallways and elevators are small but full of personality. I would much rather stay in a small, clean and beautiful room than a ugly larger one. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Free wifi worked great for us. We were upgraded for free to the Penthouse, which was an extra treat! Comfortable bed, dark wood floors, and an exquisitely decorated bathroom. Highly recommended if you can afford it!

Old-fashioned hotel..
..not far from Broadway and Times Square; hardwood floors, comfortable beds. The rooms are small, and can be dark depending on the location, but they are quaint at the same time. The reasonable prices, for midtown, are the reasons why Ive stayed here more than once.

Great location but a few old hotel inconveniences
The Mansfield had a very good staff who responded to requests and concerns very quickly. Nice coffee area and bar. Very convenient location. Our room had both a bedroom and seating area so it was a good size for Manhattan. Modern decor but an old hotel at heart with old windows and radiator heating that had to be regulated by staff, so when it was too cold or too hot it was inconvenient to change. I would recommend for location, nice staff, and ease of stay, but be prepared for temperature challenges in cold months.
