Amazing property, will absolutely go back and recommend highly!!!
Charming boutique hotel, beautiful charming setting, delightful gardens with art work and sculptures where we dined/ had drinks, staff is amazing, so is the food; 24 hr room service, purchase room/ breakfast-it was BEST in Europe. Lounge/Bar is top notch, classy & serves food late (kids allowed), hotel is older, so rooms are too, didnt like 1st room, had narrow steps to 2nd level bedroom, upgraded me to 1 level plasma TV Modern King Bed/View of Canal!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Rent small canal boat/driver for tour of city at arrival, bring picnic lunch. Also rent bikes, best way to get around and have fun! "Casa David", fab. auth. Italian food! Dont miss Anne Frank House, Flower Market, Museums...city closes early!! by 11, food, 1am, drinks!

Cozy and Impeccable
This is my favorite type of hotel - impeccable service, cleanliness, etc, without the stuffy feeling of a grand hotel. Location is ideal: in the most beautiful part of the old city, a short walk to the center of town without actually being surrounded by the tourist-crap stores, etc. Instead, its on a lovely canal (two, actually), in an area that is both quiet and beautiful and immediately around the corner from several good restaurants, bars and cafes. Their restaurant is also beautiful and overlooks a bridge and canal. Staff was extrememly helpful in answering many questions and getting us next-night reservations at De Kas. The hotel itself is nearly invisible since it is comprised of 25 individual canal houses theyve connected, so it blends in with the surrounding history. My room was extremely quiet (not canal side) and the bed insanely comfortable.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Upgrading the room to executive to include free breakfast was a great move. The breakfast is very complete and high quality, and being buffet style, it was a big time saver in the mornings not having to find a restaurant and wait for table service.

Pricey, but worth it
The Pulitzer is in a wonderful, central location. Staff, rooms, breakfast, etc, all were first-rate. The bed and pillows were the best that my wife and I had slept on anywhere, ever. The bar is a delightful place to finish off the evening and the outdoor restaurant is a relaxing spot for lunch.
Traveler's tip on dining
We had an outstanding meal at Toscanini, excellent meals at Bordewijk and Greetje, and a pretty good one at Blue Pepper. The expensive "rice table" at the latter wasnt worth it---go with the significantly lower priced daily menu.
