It worked
We stayed for a concert. It was very conveniently located to Downtown. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel is situated next the the Interstate, so there was some traffic noise, but it was tolerable. We’d stay again.

Will return next year.
I am a sports writer so I was there covering the Iowa State Track and Field Meet. The hotel is about two miles from Drake University where the meet is held every year. Not once did I have to drive to the stadium and pay for parking. The hotel shuttle dropped me off every morning at the gate of my choice and picked me up at the end of the day. It was a great to have this service. On the final day, when I would leave town directly from the stadium after already checking out, they even offered to drive to the stadium while I followed so I would not get lost. Great stay, going back year after year in the future.
Traveler's tip on dining
I don’t usually like to venture far from the hotel when i am on a business trip. With this hotel, there was no need. Great food and bar. Most nights for dinner I was able to get a nice meal and a beer for under 10 dollars, amazing!
