Breathtaking Golden Gate View
My husband and I stayed here at the end of a Napa getaway celebrating our 10 year anniversary. The Golden Gate bridge view was absolutely breathtaking, thankfully no fog that night so we could enjoy it. The room itself was in good condition, very contemporary (we usually sway toward traditional, but it was tastefully done). The only negative is we couldnt find an air conditioner control in the middle of the night to cool down the room. There was a fan, but it was still a bit warm. The staff quickly brought us complimentary toiletries when we realized we forgot them, but werent too helpful in booking tours/restaurants. It was a nice thing to do once in your life, but wed probably stay somewhere else in San Fran next time.
Traveler's tip on dining
Go to Scomas, or one of the other nice restaurants, in Sausalito. Stay away from the commercialized Fishermans Wharf -- its more of a daytime thing!

Warmth from the time you drive in the gate . . .
We stayed at Cavallo Point over Labor Day weekend on a whim, thinking it would be fun to experience the old military housing. We wound up staying in one of the few new buildings instead. The Golden Gate views were spectacular! The room was immaculate and full of green amenities. It was also quiet and peaceful. The hotel campus is suited best for active people. Access to the Marin Headlands is great! Murry Circle is a world class restaurant! Our only complaint was the strong fabric softener scent on the sheets and towels. Bring your hiking shoes and bike and enjoy one of the most unique spots in the SF Bay Area! All of the Cavallo Point staff are fantastic!
Traveler's tip on dining
Murry Circle for brunch and dinner! Eat brunch on the porch deak while viewing the Golden Gate Bridge!

Excellent - cant wait to go back
The views were spectacular, the attmosphere was quiet - almost restorative. We felt as if we were the only ones there. Great setting.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Bring your bathing suit and hiking shoes. The spa at the hotel has a wonderful swimming facility and there so many places to hike, including crossing the golden gate bridge.
