a very good hotel
This was the perfect hotel. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the hotel resturante had good dishes. The staff arranged to have a taxi to pick me up from the airport free of charge. This is a business hotel, though it was very quiet during the stay. So that was perfect. You must have access to a vehicle if you stay at this location, because it is in the middle of nowhere (somewhat). Anyway, I highly recomment this hotel....who knew that a business hotel could be so romantic. My lover and I had a great couple of days there.
Traveler's tip
Though this is a business hotel, if you are a romantic couple and want some quiet, this hotel can be very romantic because on weekends it is so quiet and quaint.

Great for long layover
Used the hotel (five-minute cab ride from airport) for a nights sleep on a 13-hour layover from Italy back to the US. Desk staff very professional both at check-in and check-out. Acceptable breakfast buffet. Facilities were clean, modern and up to standard. Only odd item was the bed--two singles pushed together with a comforter type of cover--no sheets. Hotel paid cabfare for return to airport, as their shuttle didnt operate on weekends--nice touch.

ATTN: BUSINESS TRAVELERS
If you are traveling on Business or need to stay close to the airport, I highly recommend the Golden Tulip. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and my room was spotless each day. I especially enjoyed the breakfst each morning, which had everything from fresh lox to yogurt and pastries. The hotel lobby is beautiful and quiet, perfect to relax. I would stay there again on a future trip.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
I really enjoyed the Hotel, however it was a bit far from the center of Brussels, so we took the train each day. That was not a problem since I was traveling with my young daughter, but someone who wanted to enjoy the nighlife might want to stay closer to the center of Brussels.
