Regular Hotel
The Aspen Ultimo Hotel in Sydney is well located, be careful if arrive early in the morning since youll have to wait until noon or 2 PM for the room. The personnel is not very helpful, I asked twice for some directions and they didn help at all. Internet services is nof for free and you have to pay an additional AU$10.- for wi fi at room, but the network is not very efficient. I have troubles with my breakfast service 2 out of 7 days, since they said that the rate I paid for did not include breakfast, after two days they realize their mistake.

Worst Hotel Ive Ever Stayed In
The room was rather spacious and cold. Also, several of the lights did not work. It had one of those systems where you use your room card to activate the electricity in the room and I have used this before in several countries, so I knew what I was doing and activated the lights, some which were definitely not working including the single light in the bathroom. When I tried to access the internet, it was spotty at best. The signal was weak and trying to get to anything as common as Yahoo email was a chore as it lost connectivity, went to -Unable to load- pages, and worked so sluggishly that I lost patience and went to bed. I checked out at 5:45am. I told the man at the desk there was a problem with the internet and without telling me he was getting (what I thought was) a manager, he said excuse me and just walked away from the desk. An older gentleman came over and continued my checkout and I told him about the spotty internet and non-functioning lights. He told me I have to really jam the card into the activator to get the lights working. I told him I knew how it worked and that this was not the case. Because I had not yet paid for the internet, I told him I would not be paying because it was so terrible. He remained completely unapologetic. He also failed to show any sort of confidence in what he was doing. This has been the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I will never stay in this location or any Aspen hotel location in the future.

I took a Captain Cook dinner cruise in Sydney Harbor and it was spectacular! Highly recommended!
