Transportation is key.
This hotel is very nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool, but it looked fabulous.
Traveler's tip
My only recommendation on staying here would be for those who plan on going into NY on a regular basis. You will want to become very familiar with the NJ Transit, especially if you have late night plans.

Not Impressed
Do not let them give you one of their 2nd floor ’Smoking Rooms’... disgusting doesn’t even begin to cover it and they were completely uninterested in allowing me to switch rooms, even after I offered to pay a higher room rate. There are plenty of other hotels in Secaucus, try those first!

a delightful surprize
La Quinta was so much more than we expected. It was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, the bus to Manhattan was right across the street and so comfortable and easy to use. The hotel had a great pool and a wonderful free breakfast. We have told family, friends and co workers that it was a wonderful surprize. Get directions from the hotel, it is in a great shopping complex but mapquest was confusing.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
We booked through Expedia and saved alot on the room (it had a bedroom and a sitting room)
