Great hotel
We had a great time on the Queen Mary. It was not only a hotel, but it was like we were in a different world and era. The free shuttles across the bridge to all the restaurants was great!! The other hotels in the area were nice, but they just seem basic and boring compared to the Queen Mary.
Traveler's tip on dining
The observation bar is great for a cocktail at sunset or late at night to relax before calling it a day.

Historical Favorite!
We liked everything about the hotel except that we could hear everything going on in the next room. (The walls must be too thin in that part of the ship).
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Wouldve been nice if there wouldve been more shops in the "Olde England" little shopping area in front of the hotel.

Nostalgia
All I can say is WOW! This hotel is amazing. It is a little out of the way but worth it. The rooms and halls seem unchanged from years ago which is what gives this place its charm. I dont think they should EVER update it! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was really spacious. I had a deluxe king room facing north at downtown Long Beach. The view was amazing at night and during the day. Room service had excellent food! The best part was walking around in the evening and hearing the music from the 30s and 40s playing over the PA. You almost felt like it was really that time period. The hotel staff was super friendly. Dezy was the girl at the counter when I checked in, she was super friendly. All in All a wonderful hotel if you like nostalgia.
Traveler's tip
Parking is 15 dollars a night. They are also remodeling some rooms so getting to your room may be a bit of a walk, the hall ways are LOOOOOOOONG.
