very nice room
Excellent location by porta nigra. Deluxe king room had a nice view and was very spacious for a hotel in Europe. comfy bed!

Good location
We had a wonderful view of Porta Nigra from our room. The room was spacious and clean. If we go back to Trier, we will stay here again.

Don’t miss breakfast in the dining room overlooking the Porta Nigra, one of the ancient Roman gates into the city. Ask for the city map and discover how much is accessible in a short walk.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Walk everywhere. The Hotel Mercure is located sensationally just outside the ancient Roman east gate of the city, the Porta Nigra. So walk through the ancient arches and begin to explore the beautiful center of town. Don’t miss the Diocezan Museum in the cathedral or the Landesmuseum. But do walk the extra 15 minutes to visit the Roman amphitheatre, nestled in the hills to the south.
