Watch for Enzo
The lodge has an older lovable dog named Enzo, who acts like hes a protector of sorts. I like the efficiency style lodge w/ small kitchen, and very comfortable beds decorated as if you are in Tyrol, Austria.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Inssbruck Lodge is a couple of blocks from Minaret Rd where most of uptown scene coffee shops, a bit upsacale condos are situated. This road takes you to the Devils Postpile as well as the Minaret Vista. Go there by sunset and view the silhouettes of the Minaret peaks as they disappear into dusk. Enjoy. Bring some wine or a cooler, wear long sleeves as there are some bugs at early evening and it gets nippy as well.

Tiny Rooms, small bed, noisy Refridgerator
We booked a room with queen size bed. The room given to us (No. 14) had only a full bed. We reached around 9:30 PM and after a long day, did not have the energy to go back and ask for a change of room. The room was very tiny even with a full bed. The TV was very old and the heater was very noisy resulting in a sleepless awful night. There is no A/C, heater or fan. So you need to open the windows to have some kind of air cirulation. The bathroom has a standing shower and the sink is inside the small room. Leave big luggage in your vehicle. The bed appeared clean, however we found shoe marks and hair (not our hair color), the next day when we pulled the comforter out, so not sure if they provided us were fresh linens. Beware, the check out time is 10:00 AM.

A Home Away From Home!
Innsbruck Lodge was a very pleasant surprise. The minute you park your car at the front, your get the feeling of coming home to a very big mansion. The owners are warm and easy to talk to. The room itself was a bit of a surprise (despite the pictures online) because it was a complete suite with a kitchen stocked with pots, pans, dishes, coffeemaker, microwave oven, stove, fridge, etc. Being able to cook your own meals help keep your budget down while enjoying the amenities of a classy suite in a place like Mammoth Lakes where things can be so expensive. It was also very clean and kept clean daily. Our stay was definitely worth every dollar charged and more!
