Awesome Stay at Hyatt Place

Hyatt Place is our favorite line of hotels to frequent. We continue to go back whenever our travel plans are located near one. The rooms are always so modern and spacious! This particular hotel was no exception. Great experience as usual and would highly recommend.

Not impressed

Mediocrity reigns at this hotel whose rooms are reminescent of a doctor’s waiting room. Large space, poorly laid out. Bathroom and closet are the tiniest I’ve ever seen but the living room is enormous.

Loved the Place, Hyatt Place that is...

We were very impressed with this hotel. The suite was huge. We had a very nice sectional sofa with ottoman, wet bar, desk, and then there was the king sized bed and 47" tv. We stayed 2 nights and were very comfortable. The service was excellent, also. I have told everyone about it when telling them about our trip. I’ve stayed in alot less room for alot more $$$$$. The free breakfast was done very well and even though they do not have room service you can order from a menu 24/7 and go down and pick it up. They also had plenty of seating around the lobby area to accomodate people eating breakfast. I will stay there again and again.

good value for the money

NICE, Air conditioner next to the bed was load all night. Nice breakfast and pool, rrom were nice.

Great place to stay!

We were only in town overnight for a concert but was very impressed with the modern feel and comfort of this hotel. The HD television was a great addition for any hotel room and beds were very comfortable. I honestly wish this style of Hyatt was more "the standard" for all rooms! I would stay in this hotel again if my travels have me in the Kansas City area!

Hotel is right off of the highway that circles Kansas City and so access to many attractions are possible.

Some what satisfied.

The Hotel was very clean and looked nice. I liked the setup of the room and the large TV. The bathroom was very small and anyone that is large will have a hard time closing the door when inside. The closets were too small also. Booked the room for 4 people but only received 3 towels each day. Was told they didn’t have enough towels. Maid left dirty dishes in sink.

Very comfy, clean and great service

The hotel had been recently remodeled and was very well done with nice upgrades such as 42" plasma with hookups, marble counter tops and a modern decor. Free high-speed and wifi were very handy. The only thing missing was a restaurant or lounge; the only dining available was a sandwich/pastry counter. Overall it was an excellent place to stay.

Clean and well-kept

The carpeting looked new and the hotel was well-kept. Their shuttle service took my wife to a nearby spa.Only complaint is that my wife was 15 minutes late for her spa appt. because the shuttle driver didn’t know his way to the recommended spa.

Excellent breakfast offering for people on the go with kids. Starbucks coffee was free along with Tazo teas.

Best in Kansas City

You will not be dissappointed with your stay in this hotel. It is very clean. The staff are very polite and helpful. The room was comfortable for 5 people which is difficult to find. I would definitely stay here again - no complaints only compliments to a great staff!

The room had two double beds on one side and a sitting area on the other with a pull out couch. We had Granmda with us and it was like she had her own room in the sitting area.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Spent a little time at the Power and Light District, which is a nice area to get some food and drinks. Took in a Chiefs game and had a great time at Arrowhead.

I had never stayed at a Hyatt Place

What a breath of fresh air. We loved the modern styling of our room, the comfortable bed, the huge swivel flatscreen and the free wi-fi! The format of the complimentary breakfast buffet was lovely. Hyatt Place has earned my business through this stay. Word needs to get out!

Can’t wait to stay again!

I was on business and had driven for 3.5 hours. Upon entering my room with my free apple (you can have as many as you want!) I almost immediately called my boyfried to tell him I didn’t want to leave room to go to my meeting. I will be traveling to Florida in a few weeks and already looking to see if I can stay at another Hyatt. Loved it! Thank you!

Traveler's tip for business travelers

My company does not have deep pockets so I picked the Hyatt because of free wifi, free breakfast and free parking. Rest assured this hotel lacks no ammenities for the business traveler. Don’t forget you get free apples.

Nice Room

Staff at this hotel are the best. The rooms have large screen TV with a comfortable sofa and the bed was wonderful. On the downside the bathroom is quite small, and there was an outside security light that shined directly into our room at night so drapes had to be pulled. I would definately stay here again.

very impressed

I would recomment this hotel without any doubts. The staff was excellent...warm & friendly. The location was great. The 5 of us gals had a fun get-away time in Kansas City. We enjoyed our very comfortable rooms.

Overland Park is a fun area--lots of new shopping areas and places to eat.

Very nice hotel. Very easy to get to and close to a lot of nice restaurants. Nice rooms and very quiet. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull. We will stay there whenever we go back to the Kansas City area.

Jack Stack BBQ is close and was fantastic.

NICE HOTEL!

We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago when it went by different name. Now it is a very nice hotel to say the least. Friendly staff, very nicely decorated, and a comfortable area to be in.

Overland Park’s best bet

As usual, the Hyatt Place continues to be our favorite place to stay. The rooms are very clean and the staff is great.

Great Room, Good location

The room set-up was awessome! The television was HUGE and was able to be seen from both the king size bed and sofa/bed. This hotel is a good pick for families with kids because of the space. The continental breakfast was just okay and the housekeepers forgot to leave towels. But overall we enjoyed our stay and would definetly stay at a Hyatt Place again.

great place for the price

Excellent service up front. Really appreciated the "hellos" and "is there anything I can do for you?" throughout our stay. The new decor is outstanding. The rooms are very inviting. This is a great deal for the price. The only negative we experienced was that our room wasn’t made up during our stay. I think the maid must have never got to our room. However, we look forward to staying here again sometime. Love the apples and the Starbucks.

Very Impressed

This Hotel was recently refurbished and they did an excellent job. The atmosphere was very relaxed and had an European flair. The rooms were clean and quiet. The lobby and food service area were well laid out and quite functional for the business traveler.

Beds could be a little more comfortable

The hotel was amazing - very upbeat decor, awesome television, friendliest staff ever. The only complaint we had was that the beds could use to be a little more comfortable.

One in a Million

Our experience at the Hyatt Place was a lovely surprise. The room was immaculate , along with furnishings that did not scream "hotel". Having a real "glass" was great. Even the coffee was not "hotel" blend. We have told many fellow travelers to give Hyatt Place a try.The continental breakfast was not protein friendly, but did not stay there for the food.We have definitely put Hyatt Place in our top 5.
