Darling neighborhood - nice hotel
We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Ganivet. Make sure you ask for a top floor room facing the street as they have terraces!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The neighborhood is fantastic. We enjoyed many of the little bars and restaurants in the area, plus the La Latina theater and the Rastro within walking distance and the Metro station close which gives you access to the whole city!

Decent hotel
It was a decent hotel. It was cleaned everyday. The air conditioning was great. The bed was too firm, almost hard which I didnt care for. The breakfast buffet was too much money. We liked the cafe and ate breakfast there when we didnt eat at a restaurant.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Its a close walk to Plaza Major. but it is quite a walk to the museums and the Royal Palace. Especially if you dont know the area and get lost like we did. We mainly used the metro to get around until we figured out where everything was located.

Reliable and Clean
We enjoyed Hotel Gavinet because it was close to the subway and not too far from Plaza Mayor. If you dont mind walking, its a great place to stay. Its about a 20 min walk to Plaza Mayor and 15 minutes to a great street called Cava Baja which has a lot of tapas bars.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
You have to ask the front desk for the iron.
