Nothing spectacular
The room in which we stayed is sorely in need of some renovation. The walls appeared to have some water damage. The bed linens, although old and out of date, were clean. The plumbing in that room was ineffective. Could not get hot water from the wash basin unless the water in the bath tub was turned on first. There is a motor in the bathroom ceiling area that was not able to be silenced. The swimming pool was not usable, it needed cleaning. The sitting area outside the room, facing the swimming pool and the restaurant, was dirty and had dripping water from a pipe. The water sat in puddles near rooms exit door. The common areas (reception desk and hallway areas) are well kept and pleasing to the eye. They, however, are deceptive. Since these are the areas I first encountered I expected the room to be in a better condition than I found it.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
No real attractions except for the usual eating establishments. Did visit the public beach one day. Had to drive to Melbourne for all other activites.

Nice, clean older hotel
The hotel is older and a little worn, but clean, freshly painted, easy to find, all the ammenities you need, with a nice pool and outdoor terraces to sit at. The staff is extremely kind and helpful.

Nothing Like The Pictures
I booked the Lexington because it was close to the beach hotel where my 40th class reunion was and a lot cheaper than the beach hotels. The pictures on the web did not represent the actual rooms very well at all. I believe this is a converted apartment building from way back. I like the fact that the room entrance is insdide. The room was large but had a terrible musky smell like mildew. The bed was of bad quality and the sea shell print bedspread and sheets were very faded due to being obviously old and washed out. There is a small room (which looked like a previous walkin closet) held a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker although only 2 of the 3 could be plugged in at one time. The bathroom was ok and looked to have been recently retiled. Small tv which is no big deal to me but there is lots of drawer space. The hotel is fairly quiet and not much traffic so sleeping was no problem. You can get coffee in the a.m. which is served in a small rec room I would probably stay there again but I wouldnt recommend it for a vacation stay. It will do in a pinch for a weekend stay.
