Didn’t Want To Leave
Wow- this place is such a good find I’m hesitant to tell the world about it! Cairns itself is not a beautiful vacation spot, so when we were looking for somewhere to stay on our honeymoon, we chose Agincourt because it was quiet and close to the beach (can’t get much closer!). Clifton Beach is not over-developed like the neighboring beaches. The grounds are beautifully manicured, the apartment was clean, and the pool was warm. The owners were also incredibly helpful when it came to booking tours.

Forget the over-priced restaurants. Pick up some food at the grocery store and bbq it up by the pool!

Great hotel, perfect location!
The apartment we stayed in was even better than expected. We stayed in an oceanfront unit, and really enjoyed listening to the waves crashing at night. The owners of the hotel were very helpful in making suggestions for local activities, as well as taking care of booking them for us. One thing worth noting is that these units are self contained apartments, and are only cleaned once weekly, unless requested more frequently (and there is a charge for more frequent cleaning). This was not an issue for us, but if you are in need of daily maid service, be prepared to pay for it.

Can’t wait to go back!
The Agincourt staff were courteous and friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The grounds are very nicely maintained, the heated pool is lovely and the outdoor BBQ is a neat touch. We felt very much at home in our room and would love to go back again!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Enjoy an afternoon stroll up the beach to Palm Cove for a nice meal in a larger community, then soak in the peace and quiet back in Clifton Beach.
