IT WAS OK
When I booked the room the add said that the room had a balcony overlooking the court yard. This hotel does not have a court yard. We did have a balcony but it was overlooking the parking garage. Besides this fact the hotel was ok. The continental breakfast was just coffee and rolls, nothing special. The location was great for the beach access and shoping.

Wonderful Staff!
Overall experience was very positive and the staff was very customer friendly. Location is 1 block from Santa Monica Pier, beach and 3rd Street shopping district. Only negative, continential buffet is nothing more than toast! But there is a simple little store 2 blocks away that has everything for cheap price.

Had to pay parking even though staying at hotel and no spaces were available due to publlic parking
Did not provide enough towels for each person staying there - asked room service twice for towels. Beds were real uncomfortable. For the price, it was not worth it. Had to pay additional for parking every day even though we stayed at the hotel and then one day/night, there were no parking spaces because the hotel sells spots to the public too. Greedy. One morning, the complimentary toast, cereal and bagels ran out due to a crowd staying there. Had to pay to use the computer to access our boarding pass to come home via SW. Front desk not too friendly- no smiles. Just too much stress for a vacation.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Venice beach fun (a little shady), the Pier and promonade are great, but entirely too many homeless people. Lots of beggars but lots of entertainment by people wanting to earn money too. LA tour guides give false info about stars so don’t waste your money near the walk of fame with the tours. Weirdos at Graumann Theater want your money for just takng their picture.
