simply perfect
The room was spacious but cozy feeling with the fireplace and lounging chairs, the private porch area to view the lake (and the occassional spotting of the playful pine martins in the woods). Beautiful setting, upscale restaurant, WONDERFUL hot tub with complete locker facilities...couldn’t have been better.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
The trip to the tea house from Lake Louise to Lake Agnes was worth the effort - start early (by 9am) for fewer fellow travelers.

Picture Perfect
Emerald Lake is infinitely more desirable a location than staying at the nearby Fairmont Lake Louise with a thousand other tourists.The setting of the lodge is postcard perfection, the food in the restaurant was wonderful. The lodge villas are rustic but they have everything one needs to make a stay comfortable. If you can ask for a villa overlooking the lake ( not all of them do) and ask for a top floor as we were on the first floor and the foot steps of the people above were the only thing about the lodge that bothered us.

Very lodgey and nice
Ask for the fire and marshmallows in the evening so be sure to save a glass of wine to enjoy then end of your day. The only comment is the bathroom could use updating. Everything else was spendid.
