Quaint hotel, short walk to stores and restaurants
We enjoyed our stay at the Pines Inn Lake Placid. The hotel is over 100 years old, but it is clean and refurbished. Like many old hotels, the room was small but cozy. The staff was friendly. The only downside was the fact there there is no elevator, luckily we were on the second floor.

A very quaint place to stay!
It was like a country inn, very inviting and quaint. It was nice for a couples get away.

Positive experience
My husband and I booked this hotel through expedia for a mini vacation. Although it is an old-style hotel, the service is actually quite good and room is clean. Due to a special situation we had, the hotel manager provided extra help for us such as receiving fax, scan a document/sending email for us w/o charge. Morning coffee is provided.
