quiet family-friendly retreat
We appreciated the special touches (milk and cookies every evening, fresh fruit and beverages, breakfast) and rustic atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean (although the new paint/new mattress smell needed to be aired out daily). Staff members were friendly and attentive.

Great stay, great value, great location
Right on the Rogue River, you can even have a flyfishing guide meet you and fish right outside your cabin! Price was excellent for this kind of unique stay and what a lovely little cabin with a nice fireplace and lots of character. Everything was wonderful... except breakfast, which surprised me... it was pretty much identical to what you’d get at any Best Western or La Quinta... frozen muffins, etc... blech! Still, good food right down the street and the warm, fresh-baked cookies and wine and cheese in the evenings more than make up for it!
Traveler's tip on dining
The Shari’s in Grant’s Pass, as always, is reliable and fun comfort food and Blondie’s Bistro was very good overall (though a very slow kitchen).
