A downtown Turkish chain hotel
Right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance to almost everything. If you’re looking for glamor or to be right in the nightlife, it’s the wrong place for you. But it’s only half a block off lively 1369 Sokak, two blocks from the main train station (Basmane Gari), and (with free valet parking) it’s pretty easy to get to and from without a lot of in-city driving. The breakfast buffet was perfectly fine, with a variety of cheeses, meats, fruits, etc. The room was big city small-ish but OK and comfortable, and no problem with the wi-fi. The endless mirrors, mish-mash of reproduction artworks, and brass/otherwise shiny surfaces in the lobby and elevators is somewhat overwhelming, but it also adds to the particular atmosphere and appeal of the place.
