Noise and long way from downtown
We had trouble with the room, the ceiling of the room started to leak on the the 3 day. They did not hurry to the room to check it out. When they came they offered us another room to move into, but then it stop leaking and we just said that we would see what would happen with the leaking . We did not get any offering/discount or nothing for this terrible happening. The next 2 days we woke up early both the days in the morning around 6, when the next room was having a party and singing loudly , There was a lot of teenagers in the hotel with lot of noise. This has never happened to us before on any hotel we have stayed in, and no apology from the hotel! Or nothing! I will never stay there again!

Quite and Nice
Our first trip to europe-the hotel is clean and in good condition. The staff spoke good english as well as most everyone else in Amsterdam. The tram is the best way to get around. Somebody needs to tell the Euros that smoking is bad for you. The Hotel should remove the multiple ash and cigarette butt cans from outside of the front entrance. The smokers rule this area. The Hotel fire alarm went off one evening and we all had to evacuate. It was determined to be a smoker set the alarm off. It is a good thing that the hotel is a blue color. I got lost each morning when I went out to run. There is a distinct lack of quality food choices in the area. The area could use a Costco but then I would still complain.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
We stayed here only because of the number of beds(4)in the room. Most of the hotels have 1 or 2 beds and dont want more than 2 people per room.

A hotel too far away
The hotel was a bit far from the center of the city. It took us a full day to master the tram and bus systems. During that time we were at the mercy of the local taxi drivers, which was not a happy experience at all. The hotel was clean, spacious, and best of all there was free wireless internet access at our room.
