Nice place to stay

The hotel was nice and clean. The free evening social and morning breakfast were great! The beds were a little soft being we are used to firm beds.

Relaxation at it’s Best

Emabassy Suites in South Lake Tahoe has it all. Quiet, clean and service orientated. It’s close proximity to gambling, the slopes and shopping make it very appealing. Try a drive around the lake, weather permitting! What a festive location.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Paying a few xtra dollars to stay at a hotel like Embassy Suites has its advantages. You are afforded 24 hour luxury and a chance to make decisions for yourself and not on the terms of the motel management. Think about it!

the hotel itself was great and the amenities (breakfast and happy hour were awesome. Parking was another thing as the ONLY option was $25/ for valet parking!

Lake Tahoe Embassy Suites

Very convenient location. Everything you need is in the room. Comfortable. 2 Downsides: Parking is something of challenge (not enough spaces). Breakfast is great but the lines are long so be patient. Maybe if they re-thought the setup for the breakfast buffet in the morning - clear an area for a double-sided buffet and move the people through twice as fast. Put the fruit and yogurt where the hot buffet is now.

Great service and great hotel

We were thoroughly impressed with our stay here. From check-in to check-out, the staff were so friendly and professional. They gave us tips on local activities, and their service was always prompt. Furthermore, the breakfasts were outstanding, with many choices for all types of eaters. The late afternoon wine and snacks were also a nice touch. We would certainly stay here again.

The location of this hotel was perfect: next to shopping and a very short walk to the Heavenly trams. Do not miss the Heavenly Resort, especially if you have kids. They’ll love it!

Love this hotel

Great place to stay in Tahoe... Right next door to casino. Room was very comfortable and clean, we love the breakfast in the morning. We have stayed here before and will continue to come back

We were treated like royalty!

Our room was wonderful with all of the comforts of home. We were surprized that the food already prepared was cold. We were going down around 9 or 9:30 with the exception of one day at 7:30 & everything outside of the omelets were cold (i.e., potatoes, bacon, biscuits & gravy & oatmeal) but the omelets were always made to order & very good. The staff were very friendly & our room was quiet! We were surprized that the parking was so much at $25 additional everyday. We were thankful it was safe though & since we got a good rate on the room it was fine! We would definitely return to this hotel in the future. Close to the casinos & other restaurants.

There was a good bar-b-cue restaurant someone recommended down the street called RoJo’s! Excellent prices & the food was fantastic. They were rated the best bar-b-cue for Tahoe! Sort of a little hole in the wall.

Very clean, the room was ready earlier than check in time, quiet, great Happy Hour and nice breakfast. Easy walking to shopping, dining, casino’s.

Embassy Suite

The Hotel was nice, as far as attractiveness, The complimentary drinks were nice, as well as the breakfast. The hotel only had one elevator, which makes it farther to walk and carry luggage if your way on the 8th floor at the very back of the floor. Even if your a guest staying their and you have already paid a pretty penny for your stay, they still make you pay $25 a day for parking. which is absolutely B.S. it is withing walking distance to the other hotels which have casino’s inside, since this one did not. There was this one vallet guy who was very, very rude. over all it was a nice stay, The bed was the best!

make sure you bring scarfs and hats because it gets chilly at night and the air is different up there. also make sure not to forget your camera and an extra roll of film or make sure you have plenty of space left on your sim card. you will definintly want a ton a of pics the scenery is absolutely amazing!

Excellent Location

Great hotel and a good value. Manager’s reception each evening and free breakfast is great. Would like to see an outdoor hot tub on their deck, the deck is unused now. Clean rooms.

Go to McP’s pub across the street for dinner. Good food and good value.

perfect location near the gondola to heavenly. excellent breakfast included with stay. free happy hour is ok with well drinks.

Really disappointed

+ The hotel is very close to the gondola, so there is direct access to the ski resort. + The free breakfast is nice. - We did not have hot running water in the room all day. Other guests mentioned the same problem, so this seemed to be a general problem. - We were given dirty linen two days in a row. The same happened to our friends who were staying in a different room.

Soiled bedspread...

It was gross. I could not report it on arrival because I was exhausted. Next day I reported it and management gave us their best room. The bedspread should not have been like this in the first place and that is why I would not recommend this hotel. Too bad since if it weren’t for this (and the not so warm water) it would be a good place to stay.

skiing and gambling!!

The hotel staff was wonderful. This is our second stay with a group of 8 or more. Next door to the casino and a short walk to the gondola, who could ask for more!!!

Perfect getaway

You can not beat the value you recieve at the Embassy Suites. The hotel does not smell like smoke. Breakfast and Happy Hour are always complimentary. Great value for all that you get.

Additional expenses

When we arrived we were booked for a king bed and since it was my girlfriend and I we then requested if it was possible to get two beds. The reservation person stated that it would be an additional $40 per night which we declined. Also, valet parking is an additional $20.00 per day. You can decline but the self parking is quite a walk.

They allowed us to check in at 1pm instead of 4pm. This helped as our son was going to get married and we had numerous plans to take care of.

Not impressed

We had reserved the Embassy Suites for three nights. The first room, the air conditioning wasn’t working, so we were moved to another room. The next day, the bath tub wouldn’t drain. We were moved AGAIN! We were given our valet parking free and a $40 voucher for their in-house restaurant. Three rooms in three days...not a good experience! I do not recommend this hotel!

Perfect Location

I was there with my wife and 18 month old daughter and Im glad I chose this place. It was clean and quiet, which was perfect for little girls naps and bedtime. It was also right next door to the Harrahs Casino, which was perfect for me to get away for a little at night. It was right in the center of the shopping and resturaunts as well as a couple blocks from the Lake. You also get breakfast in the morning so you can wake up half asleep and not worry about having to scramble off to get food in the morning, its right there! I always stay at Embassy Suites where ever I travel for business and once again they did not dissappoint!

The resturaunts are not that great... but you HAVE TO GO to Fire and Ice! It was the coolest place Ive ever been to eat, the cooks were awesome and entertaining and the food was fantastic, offering pretty much whatever you have a taste for. Gotta check it out, lots of fun and excitement!!!!!

Nice Hotel

Nice hotel. Positives: Great location. Comfy beds and pillows. Great shower. Good breakfast. Room is large enough for 4 people. Negatives: Sink in bathroom needed to be fixed as it did not drain. Air vents are set so that they blow right on your head while you are sleeping. The staff only leave one small bottle of shampoo for 4 people and didn’t replace it the following day. Also didn’t replace the body lotion. C’mon don’t be so cheap. The positives definately outweight the negatives however. Overall, would stay here again.

Use the Gondola to get the top of Heavenly Valley and then do the Heavenly Flier zip line. Very fun!! Get tickets the day before though as they sell out quickly in the morning. Also try to "fly" before 2:00 pm as it usually has to be shut down in the afternoon due to high winds. They will refund your money, but you won’t get to "fly" that day.

Very Comfortable

Embassy Suites was great; probably the nicest place I have stayed in South Tahoe and by far the most comfortable beds!

Excellent Location

Very nice place to stay, comfortable rooms. The room service was a bit slow to respond to problems and multiple calls very neccessary to get it fixed. The manager’s reception’s snack choices were sub-par, maily pretzels and popcorn, but the drink choices were good.

Use the beach passes often, eventhough the hotel has an excellent pool area.

Everything was perfect except for the cool shower Sunday morning, needed more hot water.
