Bad place to stay
This hotel had a nice lobby and looked decent from outside, but the hallway was dark and doors were laying against walls without hinge. Once in the room there were dark red stains on the floor. My overall impression of the whole floor was uncanny. Stayed one night then checked out, no refund on the nights not occupied. Would never think to stay here again and highly recommend staying somewhere else.

Thistle Manchester: Excellent choice
The staff was amazing. Very helpful and sweet. My room was smaller than I thought it would be, but it ended up being perfect for one person. It is a great location, especially for shopping in the City Centre. Room service was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend staying here, as I would again in a heartbeat.

Walking distance to dozens of restaurants, bars and pubs, and amazing shopping! Also, very close to Victoria Station and walking distance to Piccadilly Station.

Location and price are the only positives. In serious need of a full remodel.
This hotel was listed as a 4 star in some publications, but it’s barely a 3. It’s very old, very run down, and is in obvious need of an overhaul. The water in the showers smells badly. The walls in the rooms and hallways are heavily marked up. I had an issue with a staffer that is too involved to get into, but the manager met with me and cleared it all up. If you want a very cheap place to stay that is in the heart of the city, this is your place as long as you can stand the condition of the hotel. For that reason I won’t be back.
