impressive and homelike

Broome Park goes beyond hotel; it’s a really nice home away from home. We stayed in a two bedroom detached lodge, out in the woods behind the golf course. It was quiet, roomy, well-stocked, and very clean. There were 3 large, flat-screen TV’s - one in the living room, and one in each bedroom - with free cable. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, there were extra sheets and pillows. The only "negative" was that our king-size bed was a little firm, and there was no internet in the lodge.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

While off the beaten path, Broome park is only 15 minutes from Dover, with its Castle, beach, and docks. And 15 minutes in the other direction will take you to Canterbury for the Cathedral. If you go to Dover Castle, join English Heritage and stop on down the coast at Deal Castle and Walmer Castle as well; both are nearby and a lot of fun.
