Great Views from the hotel...but not in the hotel.
The Derrynane Hotel is in a great location near many hiking trails and sweeping sea views. This isolation however comes at a bit of a price as there is a lack of nearby dinner options...the primary option is to dine at the hotel. The food was quite good, but as a fixed course dinner at 30 euro/person it may not be what you are looking for. Only other complaint is the hotel’s desperate need for a make-over. No need to go into details...just imagine cinder block walls and decor from the 60s. Overall, it is a good hotel for the price...especially if you are traveling with children (there is a pool and appeared to be a day care). I am in my late 20s and do not...
