#1 in value for the money
It is not good if judged against hotels in U.S., but a few days of backpacking will prove that it is well maintained hotel. Small, but not as small as rooms in Manhattan. Also, considering rooms at InterContinental Hotel in Athens was comparable to most three star hotels U.S., Faros is very good place to stay.

a decent walk from the port
We stayed here because it was near the port. It wasn’t as close as we hoped but it was do-able, about a 5 to 10 minute walk depending on your pace. The room was clean, but the seal around the bottom of the shower was bad so it soaked the bathroom. Staff was helpful and internet was available for free. It was quiet so we slept well. Metro and train station are nearby also.

Good Deal
The price was right for this hotel. It was close to the port and a comfortable starting point for our Island hopping vacation.
