Easy walk to University and waterfront.
Very nice hotel at a good price. Our only issue is that we had some difficulty regulating room temperature: heat was either full on or full off.

okay for level of hotel
on reservation let them know I was coming in early off of a long international flight. Not only did they not arrange to have a room ready, it took more than 2 hours to get a room after I arrived. A business hotel should be more flexible to international flights.

Good Stay but...
Our stay at the Hyatt could have been alot better. I didn’t like the smell of our closet. I believe it was newly painted so the smell of paint was very strong. I didn’t want to hang my clothes in there. I did hang my jacket and sure enough it smelled like it. Service is slooooow! We even overheard a guest complaining about their food service being slow and we experienced that first hand when we had to wait for someone to fix our safe which malfunctioned and to get a new battery for our remote control which still didn’t work after it was switched to a new one! Lastly, was their communication in regards to water not being available to their guests one night. We weren’t informed that the water was being shut down by the city so to our surprise no water in the middle of the night. Take these all out then our stay at the Hyatt would have been better. We just expected more for a 5star hotel.

Good hotel, but not impressed as a Hayatt Regency
Clean, comfort hotel, but it was a little outdated and bathroom was too small, and I hated the shower curtain touching skin while shower, because the small bath tub and space.

Terrific place to stay!
The room was excellent and the view of the bay was lovely. It was only a short walk to several attractions in the city.

Not impressed’’
When booking my trip to Auckland, I picked because it looked like a nice hotel with activites for kids and others. When i got there within the first day i realized this was more of a business hotel and not a leisure hotel for a stress-free vacation. If i decide to go back(probably in next 3 years) , i would defenitely choose a different hotel.
When booking your vacation, triple check your hotels, to make sure you will have a wonderful time and not be disappointed.

Service was great
The staff was great. They answered alot of our questions and gave us ideas on the best locations to go too. The only problem we had was the condition of the room. The room was very clean but everything was old.

Would stay here every time!
This was a great place to start our vacation in NZ! The staff vere very helpful, especially Max the head doorman. The buffet breakfast was the best we had during our 2 1/2 weeks in NZ! The location in the downtown area was very convenient.
