woodfield
It was a little out of the way. We walked all the way across town from the train station. However, the hotel itself was great. It was a cozy room (if a little on the cold side). Easy walk to some of the attractions and the water.

Not Impressed
The location is okay if you’re only purpose is to use the Shannon Airport (about 20 minutes away, straight shot) - otherwise there is nothing within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel staff was less than cordial. The hallways and rooms were dirty, but not disgusting dirty. I’d wouldn’t recommend a long-term stay here; one night and done if necessary. It does have a nice facade, as most Ireland hotels do. However, the food was less than desireable, it’s on a busy street. You get what you pay for.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
One of the cheapest, closest hotels to the Shannon Airport. If you have to fly out early, this hotel is on a main road that will lead right to the exit for the airport. only a 20 minute drive.

Nice place to be
Wonderful atmosphere at the hotel. The check-in was right next to the quaint lounge and bar area where our family enjoyed the evening with other guests. It was the type of place that made you feel welcome from the moment you arrived. The rooms were very comfortable and the price was right. It exceeded my expectations by far, a 5 star experience.
