The most unaccomodating condohotel I ever stayed in manila

well expedia..,. I went away to unwind stressed and pressure.my time I stayed at malayan my blood prsuure went double it could give a stroke.Malayan is stingy in every facets of compliments like shampoo coffee etc.the only thing they can offer to you is the kitchenitte which is basically not working. I had a nighmare in a day i went shopping for foods which i decided to cooked for my meals and i discovered there kitchen wasnt operating and dysfunctional.it was a nightmare my blood presure went up.I went there to relaxed and to unwind and my stressed become worst...My arguments to the manager they should checked there facilites before accepting any guest.in rather relocating when things is not working. There system is not working but dysfunctional when problem occur everybody stick there nose nobody fixed the problem the passing the buck until i got mad as hell.,

Traveler's tip

I wouldnt recommend it.I go away every six months to recharged my batteriies.i stayed 3 to 4 and 5 star hotel but malayan is the worst i stayed in pearl its feasable place for 3 star.

Overall worry-free!

Well our stay was short but extremely comfortable and satisfying. We got everything we needed and actually more than we have expected of a one bedroom suite.

Not the Ritz but well worth the money and convenience

We stayed at the Malayan Plaza twice during May 2009. We selected the hotel because of the low rate and location to shopping. The Ritz its not, a four star hotel its not, but for the price its a bargain. The rooms are very large, but a bit outdated. Beds were comfortable, aircon worked like a champ. Good views, friendly staff and within walking distance to just about everything. The biggest negative? The pool needs a complete makeover, the spa didn’t work and only four lounge chairs are available for guests use. Pool towels are not provided and you must bring your own. The management company really needs to pay attention to overall building maintenance and perhaps update the pool surroundings to the 21st Century. For a family traveling, or those wishing to shop till you drop, the Malayan Plaza is a decent bet! Just dont have high expectations of some amazing room or superior service and you will enjoy your stay here.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Go to the grocery store at the SM Mall and buy snacks and basic food supplies. The prices are very cheap, the selection is second to none, and you can prepare your meals in your room at the Malayan.
