I recommend this hotel, staff were wonderful, room was just what I needed, price was excellent. Va bene!

On the way south
We stayed at the Palace as it was on our way to Calabria and was cheaper than the salerno hotels. We were only there overnight so we didn’t feel we needed a lot of extras. My wife and daughters used the free internet, the breakfast was good and we enjoyed walking around the downtown area in the evening. Everyone seems to come out at night and there were a number of places to eat and get gelato. Overall, the four of us, my wife, my two daughters and I were pleased with the Palace and would recommend it as a good place to stay.

GREAT value!
We were happily surprised at the quality and comfort of this hotel! We stayed twice, one night each. We chose it as an easy stop off the highway on our way to and from the south of Italy. Arriving the first time on a Sunday night, the neighborhood appeared to be a bit iffy-- graffiti everywhere, no one around--but the next morning, it was clear that this is a thriving safe community with everything we needed--good inexpensive restaurants, shops, etc. within walking distance, lots of people on the streets. The hotel was great! Off street parking, great staff, nicely decorated. Our room was large by European standards, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom was wonderful--modern and big. We travelled with a toddler, and the hotel was very welcoming and accommodating to him. (extra 5 Euro for the travel crib) Great breakfast -- large variety of foods (though many sweet things, as is common in Italy). Overall, we highly recommend this hotel--definitely the best value for money hotel BY FAR that we’ve stayed in in Italy this trip or during our 2 former trips to Italy.
Traveler's tip on dining
There is a lovely pizzeria across the street to the left--very friendly and very inexpensive. Delicious pizza! Oh! And restaurants don’t open until at least 7 in Italy--usually 8.
