Trendy Hotel right at Montral airport
Aloft reminds me of a lower cost W crossed with IKEA. Cute and trendy, and very convenient. But it is not yet on GIS so it was hard to find. Since it is at the airport, there is of course plane noise. No restaurants nearby, but various restaurants will deliver.

Chic Hotel
We stayed at the Aloft for 2 nights and found the hotel to be modern and very nice. The rooms had very nice flat screen televisions. THe exercise room and pool were excellent. If we are ever in Montreal again we would stay here again.

Great Hotel...and they allow dogs!
We loved the Aloft Hotel. Staff was accommodating. The Decor was lively. The rooms were not typical hotel rooms. The room didn’t have dressers or closet. Only curtained cubby area. I want my bedroom to look like this room. It had a 42" flat screen TV, soft lighting, uncluttered, down comforters, refridgerator, Bliss body gel and shampoo, and GREAT coffee in the room. Even the decaf was good. We always travel with our dog. He is a well behaved 80 lb. boxer/mix. He was allowed in the lobby, bar, and elevator. It was nice not getting a dumpy room near the back door and having to use the side entrance. I wish there were more Aloft hotels.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Visit Lachine. It is a wonderful strip park along the lake. Museums and great places to eat. Cross the bridge and visit indian tribal land and the Shrine of Lilly of the Turtles.
