Get place to stay and still be able to branch out on day trips throughout Vt., NY. and Canada
Found the hotel very nice, updated if you will. Staff helpful and kind. Rooms though not real spacious fit the bill for our travel plans. Day trips throughout the state. Bed was excellent with fine linen used. Only two minor complaints: A ten-dollar-a-day parkimg fee, and the room next to ours had a very squeakey door hinge that woke us up each morning (early) as those guests left at the crack of dawn. All in all had a great stay at the Burlington Hilton and would plan to stay there again.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Down the road several miles is the great Shelbourne Musuem. Plan to spend no less then a day taking in the sites. Also the town of St.Albans site of a Civil War raid by Southern troops.

Burlington
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Burlington! Hotel was great, staff was very friendly and accomodating. Only knock was bed was quite soft (which my wife loved), but it did no favors to my back. On the plus side, we had a great view of Lake Champlain from our room.
