The bungalows and apartments are called 'As Velas', the 'Sailing ships', and they are named after the ships which took the great Portuguese seafarers to the far continents: Sao Rafael, Sao Gabriel, Catrineta, Berrio and Anunciada. The terraces offer a wide unobstructed sea view; along the coastline until Sagres, the most southwesterly point of Europe, and over the Atlantic ocean. The Portuguese called their great discoverers OS NAVEGADORES: Pedro Alvares Cabral, Fernao Magalhaes, Frey Goncalo Velho, Bartolomeu Dias, Gil Eanes. The five fabulous and dreamlike villas in ALGAR SECO PARQUE are named after these famous Portuguese navigators. Only few steps from the picturesque rocky coastline, each villa offers you a breathtaking view over the ocean. In Algar Seco Parque a large pool with diving board, a heatable pool and a number of sundeck terraces invite to relax. Children have their own separate pool, and there is also a tiny splash puddle for the very young ones. The BistroBar offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Art and Craftsmanship Greatest emphazise for the comfortable furnishing was laid on good, solid craftsmanship; handmade furniture from the North of Portugal, handpainted, typical Portugues tiles, hand woven rugs and lampshades, hand embroidered carpets from Arraiolos.
