The service was one of the best that I have ever had. The people were helpful and very friendly. This hotel would be a great place to stay.

An excelente choice for Washington DC

Its an excelent choice if you re going to DC. Is in front of a mall (Fair Oaks Mall). The rooms, the service, the breakfast are perfect.

Very Nice Hotel

The hotel staff were very helpful and curtious. My room was clean and extreamly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great.

My son recently moved to the Fairfax, Virginia and we were visiting the area for the first time. We were very impressed by the courtesy and professionalism of all the hospital staff. My only concern is that we would have liked to have eaten breakfast at the hotel had we known it was offered. There was no indication that breakfast was available but found out later from another guest that it, in fact was available. I would recommend that this information either be posted so guests could avail themselves of this.

The hotel had a really nice (and warm) indoor swimming pool and a work out room which of which were very clean

Excellent value in the DC area for the weekend - the room was great and the bed comfortable and quiet and the hotel is located near major highways into DC.

This hotel was incredibly clean, the people courteous, and just lovely. Right across from the mall, and food court. Great, great, great!

Definitely reccomend. If i am ever down in the area again I will stay there. Next to big mall with good restaurants like The Cheesecake Factory. Luxurious at economic prices.

Blood spots on the sheet!

We only stayed for one night, but it wasn’t as comfortable as we expected. We found blood spots on the sheets, and no room service was available to change it for us when we called requesting for new ones. The security guy had to come himself to change the sheets!!!! The hotel itself was alright, but the staff was not responsive enough. But, again, it was only for one night.

Wonderful staff and excellent room

The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a small problem with one of the lamps in our room and it was fixed promptly. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the hotel location is convenient. I will definitely stay here again!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Although the breakfast at the hotel was quite good, it was also pricey. There is a Denny’s approximately 5 minutes away. The food and service there were both great.

noisy above atrium

hotel has a large atrium. during our stay a toddler was allowed to run and yell up until after 10 pm. The noise traveled up through the atrium. We had to make 2 calls to management to ask someone to ask the parents to calm down the child.

there is excellent mall nex to the hotel the you should visit the prices on local restaurants are very good. Spent a few hours at the mall so there a large amount of store worth visiting and it justaa short walk frm the hotel

Great experience

I was a little apprehensive about this hotel especially after reading some of the reviews but My family and I had a great experience! Great service. Super clean and comfortable. The hotel is near a mall and outside food delivery was readily available. I read that someone complained about how far the elevator was from their room but I consider that a plus so you don’t hear it all night long. We will definitely stay here again.

It has been a few weeks since our stay and I still have a hold on my account. I know that these holds are done for incidentals but it does seem like a long time to keep a hold. Be mindful of this when you check in. Also, the pool has a lifeguard on duty.

This place was like a Palace! I loved it, I would stay again in a moment. Everyone was gracious, professional. The property is beautiful, the room, pool, etc. Great place for Business or Pleasure and only 20 mins., from D.C.

For the savings over staying in D.C. it pays for 1 to 2 meals a day. This hotel is worth staying, you’ll be impressed.

Fairfax Marriott - conveniece and affordable

This hotel is a 6 star + in my book. It was convenient and affordable. Right across from the shopping area that made it even more of a deal breaker. I plan on returning to the area soon and will most definitely stay at Fairfax Marriott at Fair Oaks.

Plenty of parking; room large and mostly clean except back of bathroom door needed attention. Staff very friendly and helpful with directions.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Was in town for freshmen orientation at Geo. Mason University. Hotel about 10 minutes from campus and Metro. Took Metro to Nationals/Sox game without a hitch (took about 40 minutes one way but beats driving). Can walk to Fair Oaks Mall whcih has plenty of food options and shopping if interested.

Can’t wait to go back!

The personnel was very courtesy, helpful, and friendly. The hotel was located centrally to restraunts, shopping malls, outlets, and ony few short minutes to the metro, and historic sights. The hotel was very clean and there’s lot to do at the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay.

It’s located t a large mall bring lots of money. The mall was having a great sale. Tey have great places to eat also.

Confused

When I booked this room it was supposed to have a refrigerator and microwave and be capable of serving to adults and 3 children, we were shown 3 different rooms no refrigerator, no microwave, and no room for 5 people - yet when we talked to the hotel they assured us that we were in error - not a bad place they just like stupid people - i will book with expedia again but not here!

We didn’t like the down pillows and didn’t know we could request polyester filled ones. Next time it will be a perfect stay!

Very nice, whatch the breakfast price, Internet is not free iin rooms

It was an excellent hotel, not too far from downtown, next to a mall. Rooms were very clean and confortable. Hotel employees were nice, although it was strange that none of them were americans, but that was good as I am European, so i had no regret that I do not speak proper English. Sad part, room was not ready when we intended to check in, and we did not receive the type of room that we booked. Never got an explonation. The worst: they informed us were the breakfast is served, although they forgot to mention that breakfast is 15 USD per person. So the deal was not that good after all!!! I left a bit dissapointed.....

2nd time around

For the price you’re paying this is a great hotel to stay at for both leisure and business. The bed was extremely comfortable and the service was great. My only complaint was that our room faced the atrium and even with the sliding door closed were could still hear noise coming from events that were taking place in the atrium. Other than than, great place to stay!!
