Great Hotel, Great Staff, Great Everything

This hotel was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms were ultra modern with english cable channels such as HBO, Cinemax and Cartoon Network. The decor was beautiful. The bathroom was very clean. The breakfast buffet was good and offered so much variety that I could never get bored with the selection. The staff was friendly and very helpful. On numerous occasions the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. One evening we forgot to verify our tour within the 24 hour time frame and the front desk clerk went online found a working number and called us in our room to let us know that our tour was still on. On another occassion, we needed a ride to the airport and the manager was going to charge us to use the front desk phone the same front desk associate realized we got rid of our money and let us use her personal cell phone to call for a ride. I have never encountered such nice and friendly staff.

The platinum mall is so much cheaper and offers more variety than the MBK mall. Every brochure and online site mentioned MBK as the best and cheapest place to shop. So untrue. MBK is closer to the malls in the US where the platinum mall offers 1000’s of small shops where every shop owner is open for negotiations. Try Platinum mall you won’t be disappointed. BTW the food court is the best quick, cheap food that I have ever had.

Solid 4+-star hotel in good location

This is a nice hotel in a good location. Close enough, yet far enough away from the scene, if that is your thing. Practically right on top of subway and only a few meters further to sky train. My only complaint is that our non-smoking room was located on a smoking floor. This was mostly our fault as we arrived before the previous guests had cleared out of the room the hotel had intended for us. The staff did offer to move us to a smaller room on a completely non-smoking floor and set up an aromatherapy burner in our premier room when we declined the smaller room. Generally excellent staff. First class breakfast including made to order eggs and other hot dishes. Taxis not very familiar with this locale so be sure to bring address with you. (Hotel provides taxi card for use after you arrive).

Taxis are actually cheaper than the public rail transportation when traveling with 3 or more people, but the sky train and subway will get you there quicker because of the traffic.
