Historic hotel. Breakfast was outstanding.Good variety of foods. Hotel service could be better. Good place to stay when traveling.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Many historic sites and close to Opatija. Local "Tapas Bar" has very good food at a good price.

Almost everything depends on the kind of room you get
The localization of the hotel is good at walking distance from the centre. There are at least two qualities of rooms: those with excellent views of the sea, which are large, have balconies and air conditioning (not working at one of two rooms we occupied) and the rooms in the backside, small, without air con and almost windless. The staff at the reception was unkind and incompetent; they tried to put us in the worst rooms in spite of the emptiness of the hotel.
