Nice
The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. I loved having a balcony to drink my morning coffee on but I tried 4 ice machines before I found one that worked. The bathroom wasnt entirely cleaned to my liking and the pool was being serviced (shocked). Only after I insisted that we get a refund and go somewhere else so we could have the benefit of a swimming pool did the manager offer us the use of the condo pool.

Terrible customer service!
My boyfriend and I had planned an amazing weekend getaway before he went off shore for three weeks, we had just got done having dinner in Welfare, TX late with my parents and drove in specifically b/c I had heard that Tapatio was just beautiful. First, the lobby of the hotel looks more like a shady Motel 6. Its not inviting. I digress, b/c you dont go to a hotel for the lobby. The lady at the desk was the most unprofessional person that I have ever encountered. She saw us come in from the office, but didnt say anything to come greet us for five minutes. She then couldnt find my reservation and I had to go to a back computer to print it off to prove that we had reservations. Obviously if we drove all the way out there in the dark, it was intentional. Once that was verified, she was on the phone with maintence b/c the a/c was out and needed to be fixed instead of saying it very clearly and them taking care of it she gossiped with them on the radio for about 20 min. Afterward then she realized that there werent any rooms cleaned for us and that something had to be cleaned. We probably waited a hour for our room from the time we walked in the door. When you are tired and had everything perfectly planned out on your trip, this is ridiculous! I will never stay here again, nor will I recommend this place to anyone. The room was nice, but they need to fire her. Go there for the golf, stay somewhere else in Boerne.
Traveler's tip on dining
Welfare Cafe is Welfare, TX is an amzing place for dinner! One of the cutest finds in hill country and the food is unbelieveable!

Great for kids
The resort is definitely older, the hotel buildings are 70-ish in decor outside, but the rooms were updated in the 90s, and the beds were recently updated with pillowtop mattresses. Its very quiet, back in the hills, and the hotel staff are very attentive and helpful. Great place for kids to play in the pool, relax, and not worry about life for a while.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
There is a great buffet at the restaurant. Other restaurants will set you back a 10-minute drive into town.
