A very good hotel

The highlight was the quality of the service..Also the location(adress:1,Unter den Linden),facing the Brandenburger Gate,is the best of Berlin. The Breakfasts - 29 Euros for continental,39 for buffet - could be a little less expensive, considering the local prices.

Berlin’s best

The Adlon Kempenski is flawless! The rooms, the service, the facilities, the food are all fantastic. The staff makes the guest feel like royalty. The rooms are extremely comfortable and spotless. The location next to the Brandenburg Gate and near the Reichstag and the Tiergarten offer a striking and historic backdrop. I have nothing NOTHING negative to say about this hotel.

First Class All the Way (But Exhorbitant WiFi)

The hotel lived up to its billing as a first class, top quality hotel. Its location can’t be beaten, and facilities were tops. But why does a hotel in this class and this price category have to charge as much as 15 euros per day for WiFi? True, guests can use hotel computers in the oddly-located business center free of charge for 30 minutes per day. That is inconvenient just to check e-mail, etc., but it does work. However, many (perhaps most) hotels in the budget category provide free WiFi. This was a jarring note in an otherwise flawless stay.

Nickel and Dime

The Adlon is a wonderful hotel, and very very expensive. (Half again as much as the next best hotel in Berlin.) We didn’t use much in the way of the services offered, however. I was appalled at the extra cost of in room internet, to the point where I thought I would next have to put quarters in the TV to turn it on. And the buffet breakfast was 49 Euros. Not worth the price for anyone but the most cost indifferent.

Perfect hotel in Berlin

We are extremely satisfied with our stay at Adlon Kempinski Hotel in Berlin. Itś clean, the staff is friendly, the location is good. It has a beautiful lobby with a bar always full of people with live music, which gives you a very comfortable and welcome feeling. The hotel has a perfect spa with a pool and jacuzzi and a very good sauna. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Many attractions are close. Shopping is a bit far from the hotel. Taxis are not expensive, so itś not a problem to get around.

Wonderful accomodations, location and spa

A grandiose hotel in a great location... very good service except for their casual restaurant where the service was clearly lacking, although the food was good. The spa was amazing, not only fabulous treatment rooms including your own private changing room, toilet and shower but also the therapists were extremely competent and consciencious.

If you arwe planning a trip - and you can afford the splurge - go tot he Historic Adlon Hotel, overlooking the Brandenburg Gate. it’s a wonderful, newly rebuilt property with service to match.

Possibly the best hotel I’ve ever been to

I’ve stayed at some of the best hotels in Germany and this may be the best. It is new but built in old world style. There is incredible attention to detail everywhere you look. Customer service is great with the exception of the concierge who wasn’t very helpful.

Fabulous Historic Luxury Hotel

The hotel room was fantastic, 3 closets and a huge bathroom, we booked a double executive end were upgraded to a double deluxe. We were very satisfied. The breakfast was pricey but superb. The restaurant Laurenz Kempinski was very nice and very elegant, with a beautiful view! Our stay would’ve been perfect exept for the service to the room. We had to call 3 times before they brought us the electrical adaptor, our bed wasn’t turn down the second day of our stay. But overall I definetly recommend this hotel for everybody.

Everything is close to this spot, so try walking everywhere, but take a hop on-hop off tour to get acquainted with the surroundings.

Berlin’s elegant hotel

I recently stayed at the Adlon for six days with my daughter, who is 23. The hotel was absolutely spectacular. After being destroyed in world war II, it was rebuilt in the exact same style as the original. an in-room video documentary tells the fascinating story of lorenz adlon, the man who originally created the hotel, as well as his family, against the back drop of history. one has a sense of a bygone era there, in contrast to much of the modern post war architecture of the city. the location near the brandenberg gate is central and convenient, and the main thoroughfare, unter den linden, is lined with beautiful, historic and interesting buildings, museums, etc. service was gracious, food was excellent, the lobby bar/afternoon tea was packed with interesting people, mostly germans, and live piano music is played from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. daily. the spa was fairly small, but quite adequate. i did not see a fitness center. i will definitely return to the adlon.

the hotel broadcasts only four english language television stations, all news oriented, so nothing for young people or children.

Fantastic hotel--one of my favorites in the world

First time to Berlin and this hotel but it is already on of my favoirite--perfect location to walking to all the major sights; beautiful hotel and great service.

Great mens clothes shop in the hotel---designer clothes NOT available elsewhere in Europe or USA so you can be seen in things that few other people have--and they like it that way.

Fabulous!!!

Every I expected and more. Location, Room, Staff and Service A+. What a perfect spot to explore Berlin either on foot or train which is out the front door. I could rave about the room "blah blah blah", take it from me, the junior suite was superb, try the steam button for the shower. No mold, dirt or dust in this hotel, they detailed the room 2 times a day during my stay. It was by chance that my stay coincided with the Berlin Film Festival, Berlin was booked solid. Met some awesome people, having a key to the Adlon was a lot of fun. Kudos to the concierge, he took time in the midst of a very busy day to correct a bad phone number my father had written down, 10 minutes of sleuthing and a few phone calls made it right.

Adlon’s lobby bar is cigar friendly, a good selection of Havana’s are available, great place to meet friends and start the evening.

The best hotel ever. I have spent more for a room but I have NEVER had the type os service that the Adlon provides. PERFECT in every way.
