Most Expensive for Least Service and Smallest Space
The Location was good, but the hotel was old and the room very, very small. It needed painting and updating. Two small single beds with absolutely no space to even put luggage or turn-around in. Bathroom was adequate, but no counter for personal products. Staff was not particularly helpful, and downright rude. This was the most expensive hotel during our 3 week trip, and the poorest of all the hotels we stayed in. I would not recommend it at all, unless you wanted to be very close to the Amphitheatre and only wanted a bed to sleep in.

Fantastic stay-great location and staff!
Thie hotel is a real find if you;re looking for a great location and a hotel for families. The location is perfect-just a few minutes literally form teh Roman Arena - you are so close that you can go to the Opera and return to your room during intermissions with plenty of time to spare! Yet the hotel is on a side street leading into the plaza so it is quiet. Everything really is walkable from there. The room we had was very spacious and beautiful and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of cooked items and great srevice. This hotel was one of our more expensive ones on the trip but was definitely worth it. You oark your car in their secured garage (extra but worth it) and then walk around teh city from there.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
You can easily get an opera ticket teh day of now- there doesnt seem to be the need for advance tickets with the economy- its an amazing experience to see opera in this outdoor venue!

Right in the middle of it all!!!!
We drove into Verona and got lost. We called the hotel and the staff gave us perfect directions to find the hotel. When we arrived the staff told us that our room had some plumbing issues so they put us in a smaller (but nice) room the first night, comped our parking charges, and moved us the next morning to one of their superior rooms. VERY NICE!!! The breakfast was the best we had in our two weeks in Italy, and the staff was amazing. We hope to make it back to Italy and we will stay there again.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Be sure and visit the Roman Theater on the north/east side of town center, across the Ponte Piatra bridge. Views of the city are remarkable.
