Surfers Paradise
Great value in a privatge location. Only problem was the cost of internet access - but that is not too unusual in Australa. Of coourse I am writing this on a free wireless access at a Queensland campground, so it should be coming.

Great hotel for a family with kids
We booked this hotel through Expedia with little idea about its location or its facilities. It was one of the few that had rooms available within our budget. Radisson turned out to be a real treat. The rooms were spacious, with all the conveniences, and a much-needed laundry room at the entrances where we promptly processed a week’s worth of laundry. The kids loved the pool and the jacuzzi, and the hotel staff was very helpful with information and food. The restaurant had a very limited vegetarian menu (which most of us are) but the kids loved the kids menu (which was also cheaper). All in all, a good deal, even though the hotel is about a 10 minute ride from Broadbeach and Surfer’s Paradise. They had a shuttle running throughout the day for which we paid AUD 30 across 9 people so it didn’t pinch. Fantastic view over the golf course, which was easy on the eyes over morning tea!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Plan on spending the entire day at the beaches, packing bags with swimmers, towels and whatever you might need for the day. Then hop onto the morning shuttle and return by the evening.
