Great staff
Tram is right in front of hotel. Parking lot is very tight and small, but street parking is fairly available and cheaper than the lot. We used it as a base to visit several other cities, so the fact it was not central was not a factor. The breakfast on the top floor with views of the city is excellent.
Traveler's tip on dining
Avoid the restaurant on the corner across from the train station. There’s a bistro that looked nice (but was closed) on the street behind the hotel and an excellent local place past the one we don’t recommend, left at the next corner where there’s an Indian restaurant, then mid block.

COnvenient and comfortable in Gent
My room was great, and the staff were lovely. Nice breakfast in their attic dining room. Good value. Recommended.
