Barely the minimum
I guess the room was clean. The bed was old and used up. Not very comfortable. The bathroom and towels were left overs from WWII. I suggest spending the extra $50.00 and get something more comfortable.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We were only there a short time and were treated like unwanted travelers. I recommend either skipping Paris, or taking the time to get out of the tourist traps.

Good value in off-season
Friendly, bilingual accommodating staff. Rooms cleaned and sheets/towels changed daily. All of the basics for a comfortable stay: working telephone, private large bathroom, Internet in the lobby, and mini fridge. Thank you!

Not Impressed
If this is going to be your one and only trip to Paris, you should splurge for a nicer place. Otherwise, if you are on a budget, and maybe just "passing through", this hotel is fine. Its tiny (I had to turn sideways to get in and out of the shower), the bed was practically on the floor, and it was not very clean. Elevator didnt work (not a problem for me, but might be a hardship for some). However, it is close to a metro stop and the neighborhood is fine... we walked about at night and it seemed perfectly safe.
