Great value hotel in a great location

If you’re looking for clean, basic yet spacious, centrally-located accommodations at a great value, this is the place. If you want posh and luxurious, look elsewhere, but for the money, this was a great find. Very helpful staff, breakfast included, wireless internet available, and nice apartment-style units. The bathroom was a bit leaky and fixtures/furnishings were basic but functional and nice.

Great Location, Nice Room

We’ve stayed in London multiple times, in fact lived there for 2 years, so we knew the area we wanted to stay in. We had stayed at another "kitchenette" type hotel not far from this one and weren’t that impressed. However, this one was very nice. The staff was very helpful, had us checked in and quickly and much earlier than the posted check-in time. After reading some reviews about how the supplied (free) washers and driers were always broken, However, all 3 washers and 3 driers worked great, although busy. The room was nice, kitchenette small but had fridge, hot plate, microwave, sink, 2 of all the necessary cups, plates, bowls, plates, etc. The bed was relatively comfortable, TV, wardrobe (never enough hangars, they brought us more). Housekeeping left a little to be desired. For some reason, they never left spare toilet paper. Even if there was only a little left. So we had to ask at the front desk and they would give us some. We had several other requests at the front-desk and they were always helpful and cheerful. The wireless internet was a joke, hardly ever worked, slow, but after complaining they gave me my money back. Location is fabulous, just a few blocks from the Gloucester Road tube stop, buses, or the museums. Checkout was quick and the staff was great about storing our bags while we went out and about until our flight. Overall a great place to stay, would highly recommend it.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Use the tube, get an Oyster card. Buying cash tickets at the stations is expensive. 4 GBP cash vs 1.60 GBP. We bought a seven day travelcard, unlimited travel on the tube and buses in zones 1-2 for 26 GBP. well worth the money. If you need to go outside zones 1-2, just add money on the card (say 10 pounds) and the extra will be taken off. At the end of your trip, just return it to a station and they’ll refund the deposit (3 GBP) and any cash you have left on the card.

Lovely stay, good location, ufortunately special requests not accommodated

Really enjoyed my stay here which was my third stay as I return to London each year for business Really comfortable rooms in a good location. Only negative is a simple request of a late check out could not accommodate without incurring a significant additional charge. I find it unfortunate as the room was not even booked by someone else and no consideration was given as a return client. Other than that it was a nice stay
