Value Stay
First timer to London and got bit by the Marathon! Basic hotel. Basic room. Beds were uncomfortable though. Within minutes of the train and a comfortable ride to Waterloo or Victoria Stations. Heathrow just a short easy bus ride. Lots of tour groups. Eating dinner in the hotel turned into a fiasco though. Each tour group would head to the bar and the noise was deafening.

air conditioning problem
The lobby was quite cool and comfortable, but the rooms were dreadfully warm and there was no way to open the windows. We asked about the air conditioning and were told that it would be fixed, but three days later it was still uncomfortably warm. It was difficult to sleep in a stuffy room.

Highly recommended as an airport hotel
I was transiting through London for less than 24 hours with a meeting in Central London in the evening. This hotel served my purposes perfectly given I did not feel like paying the central London hotel prices and that I had a very early flight the next morning. As such, I needed a simple clean room and easy public transportation to and from Heathrow + central London. I bought a Tube subway day pass at the airport station (for less than 7 pounds) and took bus #285 (free with subway pass, otherwise 2 pounds each way and it runs 24 hours a day, unlike for aome other bus routes/hotels) directly to right outside the hotel. To get to central London, I simply picked up the bus to Hattan Cross Station (about 3 quick stops - no need to return to Heathrow) and jumped right on the subway. As for the room, the bed and bathroom were very clean, all appliances and fixtures worked well. My only slight complaint is that the night person at the front desk took forever to do everything (including just borrowing a pen), so give yourself plenty of time to check out if you need to adhere to a tight bus schedule.
