Comfort on the Upper West Side
We love the Belleclaire and have stayed there many years now. The people are accomodating and the location couldn’t be better.

Undersized hotel rooms
Very small corridors lead to equally small rooms - had to walk sideways past the end of the bed in one rom to get to the bathroom. We had room labelled as two bedroom - one room had double bed, night stands, closet and small desk with chair, other room had bed and night stands and bathroom - no dresser in either room. Small closet with insufficient room for clothes - very inconvenient set-up. Room was very hot - even with windows open - could not get any ventilation. Only one of two elevators worked for the entire week we were there. Location was good and the amenities in the neighborhood were great. We’ll come back to the area but not the hotel.

Great except for the elevator
The room was surprisingly large, modern, clean, very comfortable, great shower. Great location. But there are only two very tiny very slow elevators for a lot of guests, they need to fix the third one (which I note from other reviews has been broken a long time).
