Worth the PRICE!!
We stayed in Nice for several days at another hotel. We took a walk into the Hotel Negresco and couldnt wait to book a night there. We stayed for one night severals days later after we returned from a trip to Cannes. We loved it. The service was absolutely excellent!! They carried our bags, all employees were friendly and courteous, and they turned down our bed. It was an experience walking around the hotel. Each floor had the most incredible art work. It was almost like we stayed in a museum. The restaurant was over priced, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
We went in November 2009. We would have enjoyed ourselves better if it was a bit warmer. Take a day trip to Monaco!! 30 mins by train...you will see the cleanest city along the cost.

Excellent hotel
This is a beautiful hotel with great service and a good location. It is a living museum full of beautiful paintings and sculptures. The front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. We chose this hotel because of the secure parking and the location. We dined on the terrace of the hotel resaurant and the food was excellent. The only criticism I might have would be that the bed was on the small side although it was very comfortable.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The hotel is on the expensive side but I think worth the money for a splurge. If you want to try the Michelin starred restaurant be sure to bring a jacket and tie. We did save a bit of money by walking down the street for breakfast.

Museum-like and convenient
Very nice. The bed was a bit small, but other than that it was pretty good. The artwork there is amazing.
