Delightful Hidden Retreat near the Airport

Normally airport hotels are dull, loud, and stark, but not this hotel! Newly remodeled, it is visually stunning! Personally welcomed and enthusiastically greeted when we first walked in, upon check-in, we were given a tour of their facilities. The rooms were beautiful with a nice functional work area, mini-bar with fridge, and comfortable living area with couch, chairs, table, and large screen TV (with ample hookups for your needs). The bedroom was separated by a stylish partition wall, and the beds were nice and firm (best nights sleep our entire trip). The bathroom had all your basic necessities, and a nice well lit sink area was separate from the bathroom. Services, yes! Shuttle service to the airport at 4:30 a.m. (when rental car offices were closed), and a 24 hour snack shop where we were able to grab a bite before taking off was a godsend. Computers/printers were available so you could print your boarding passes and do online check-in. Breakfast was provided, but alas, did not start until 5:30. We came here only because of it’s proximity to the airport (did I mention, there was no airport noise, but it was a nice quiet get-a-way), but the hotel was so nice that we left wishing we had spent our entire stay there. It is class, elegance, convenience, functionality, and service at its best. You may book here because of its locale, but you will leave thinking this was one of the highlights of your trip!

The rooms are nice and big...wireless internet was a great plus and having a 24hr snack/hot food counter in the lobby was a godsend.

Everything about our stay was great. Large nice rooms. Very clean. Curteous staff. 42" LCD definetely a big plus. Very impressive for the price. Would stay there again without a doubt.

Great Place to stay with kids

I have 4 young kids and an infant so staying in a hotel is not very enjoyable sometimes. The double rooms they have are awesome!! There is a couch that folds out to a bed and still plenty of room for the babies portable bed/crib!! The breakfast food is like most places but there is a lot more room to find a place to sit if you get there at a busy time of the morning. I plan to stay at this chain whenever possible!!!

Well worth the time and money

There was some kind of event for kids the wk end we went and they were a little out of control. especially at the breakfast bar and the pool. the staff handled it very well and did a pretty good job of restocking everything for the rest of us. i was very pleased overall. especially with the cleanlyness of the hotel and it even smelled very clean!

This hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed in. The room was very comfortable and spotless. The cleanist bathroom I have seen in a hotel. The desk person was very friendly when checking in and gave suggestions on places to see. Check in and out was easy. Also the largest tv I have seen in a hotel room. Would stay there again.

Everything you need....

This was my first stay at a Hyatt Place hotel. It has everything a traveler needs. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and the 42" TV was an added pleasure. Breakfast is well served with hot meals available for a fee. The location is great. Minutes away from the airport...

Many shopping choices are minutes south of the hotel. Wal-Mart & Target, as well as numerous dining establishments.

Very Cozy!

My wife and two preschoolers stayed here on our way to visit family in KS and on our way back to IL. The hotel is very inviting from the moment you walk in. The lobby area is wide open and creates a very nice atmosphere. We stayed in a double bed room since there were four of us. We slept comfortably and really like the layout of the room. The only complaint I can really mention is the room didn’t have a central air control. Instead, it had a window blower for the a/c and heat control. It was a bit noisy when we used it and if you are sensitive to direct air blowing on you like I am then this could be an issue. Not sure if all rooms are this way but luckily the return trip when we stayed it was much warmer and we didn’t require heat during the night. We did use it on the way to KS as it was early April and the temps were still chilly at night. Oh - and the huge plasma TV was awesome!

The location was near the airport and although we weren’t flying it was a little out of the way to stay here since we were traveling on I-35 but it was well worth it. It is by several shops and restaurants so this location is ideal for most people.

Great Hotel

The hotel was great. The rooms were some of the nicest I’ve stayed in, the front desk staff were very helpful, the 24 hour food service was reasonable and awesome, and the hotel decoration was modern and nice.

We’ll stay here again...anytime!

Wonderful hotel, beautifully decorated, Starbucks in the lobby, near the airport and walking distance to a decent restaurant. What more could you want?

Good value

Looking for a Suite layout and this was quite functional. Clean and plenty of space. The bar concept in the front works nicely to give more of an upscale feel, and nice to be able to get a coffee or beer at any hour. Very nice staff, really no downside except that the included breakfast is a little thin. There is made to order hot food though so you don’t have to leave for bacon and eggs

We stayed at this hotel while visiting family in Kansas City over Thanksgiving. The hotel was great, and the location was very convenient.

Nice Hotel

The hotel was nice and comfortable but the selections avalable at the bar/lounge was less than expected. Would recommend the hotel. It was close to everything and far enought from the airport for no disruption.

Our favorite getaway!

We look forward to getting away for a night every few months and have for our last three stays come to the Hyatt Place at KCI. We really enjoy our stays...and will keep coming back.

Having stayed in Hyatt Place hotels now in 4 cities i prefer them for business travel. Clean, modern rooms, consistent attentive service. Very comfortable.
