Small room

We stayed on a four day vacation. The hotel was old with a Victoria feel. It was clean but needs refreshing. Our room was tiny. We had about 1.5 feet on each side of the bed and maybe 2 feet at the base from walls or furniture. You can do little in this room other than use the bed and toilet. If you are not there to spend time in the room it will be fine. If you plan to spend any time in your hotel room, find a larger room. The hotel lobby was nice and it had a lounge for about 6 people to sit (few did). There were two computers to rent (I think one pound for 10 mins). The restaurant was decent (10 tables - actual name if I remember right). The hotel was in a good location and had a small pub attached. The train station was about half a block away and that was very convenient. Hyde Park was a close walk. A Catholic Church was across the street. Museums and Imperial College were all within a short walking distance. Because of the room size, I rated it low. All else is fine.

Very nice but won’t stay there again

Beautiful and clean. The ONLY thing that concerns me is that my room was slanted. Being that many of the buildings in London are hundreds of years old, this made me very nervous. The staff is great and very helpful.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Harrods is within walking distance.

Rydges a dump with a pretty Lobby

What a surprise to find that the rooms did not reflex the lobby which was painted in gold and white. The rooms however were a whole other story. The single is a closet with a bed. The large room (twin) was dark and faced a walk. Maybe that is what they gave me? I would never stay at this hotel again. The staff were ok. The food was bad. A coke was not cheap.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Never stay at his hotel. There are so many nice hotels in London. The best way around London on one of their many buses. #74 took me from South Kensingon to Oxford circle where you can find the best shopping if you are on a budget. The #25 bus will take you to Saint Paul’s Cathedral ....what a lovely Cathedral. You must get there by 5pm to enjoy some time there. It closes at 6pm.

Very impressed by the Services, particularly the Front Desk and Concierge.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Glocester Road Tube station. The service starting from the Front Dest is outstanding. The breakfast is very good.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Great Service... not so great room.

While the service and people were fabulous the room was not so much. A single room will definitely be small but because of that the littlest details stand out. There was a large brown/black area mostly hidden behind my wardrobe but I was concerned that it might be mold! The wall paper was peeling, a few sheets had holes in them, the curtains were kind of disgusting, no FREE internet as suggested, and only 5 tv channels (the adds implied there would be more). But if you are looking for a hotel with nice people and a fun little pub attached (and don’t care about the cosmetics of the room) then this would be the place to go.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Definitely get an Oyster (I think that is what it is called) pass for the Underground/Buss System if you are going to use either at least once a day. It will save you money.

A good trade off

Excellent location in Kensington, close to all central points in central London. If you don’t look for a luxury stay, this hotel is a very reasonable alternative for your stay. Rooms are a bit small, walls are a bit thin (you can hear the guy next door yawning:)) and decoration seems to need a hand. But what you look for is a clean bed and a decent bathroom for an affordable price in a residential and central location, this hotel may be the perfect trade off..

Great Location!

Very close to the Underground and several good restaurants & pubs nearby. The GM and staff were very helpful.
